Environment Canada has issued a weather warning for Mississauga, Brampton, and Caledon. The national weather agency has issued a Fog Advisory for all three municipalities.
They are calling for “near zero visibility” with the fog over some areas of Peel Region. The “dense” fog is expected to lift later today.
“Black ice may form in areas where temperatures are below freezing due to freezing fog. Motorists should exercise caution,” the advisory states. “Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations.”
If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead, and be prepared to stop
