The deadline to apply for a 2024 Peel Region summer student job is looming. Applications need to be sent in by Jan. 31.
The Region, which covers Mississauga, Brampton, and Caledon, says its summer job program runs May 6 to Aug. 30 and pays $16.78 an hour. Typical hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday but the Region says some operational support roles require evening and weekend hours.
Among the requirements are that successful applicants must be full-time students enrolled in a post-secondary program or entering full-time post-secondary studies in Sept. 2024.
A release from the region says “As a Peel Summer Student, you’ll have a safe workplace where you can be your best self. We’ll welcome and support you, and your work will keep you energized and engaged. Get to know the world of government; you never know where it could take you!”
