Woman airlifted to hospital after car and train collide in Caledon

A driver was airlifted to hospital following a collision between a car and a train in Caledon on Saturday, May 4.

Ontario Provincial Police reported the occurred on Humber Station Road shortly after 5 p.m.

A woman in her 20s was taken to a Toronto trauma centre with what Ornge air ambulance services said were critical injuries, according to Ornge air ambulance services. Police later updated that the injuries sustained in the collision were not life-threatening.

Police say the driver was the sole occupant in the vehicle at the time of the collision and the investigation is continuing.
