Caledon Provincial Police have laid charges after a single-vehicle accident.

Police were called to a collision on Charleston Sideroad, near Mississauga Road, just before 9 p.m. on January 18. They determined a male driver was impaired by drugs and was arrested.

The 25-year-old from Hillsburgh has been charged with operation while impaired, possession of cocaine and opioids, and a novice driver having a blood alcohol above zero.

The driver is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on February 12 to answer to the charges. His vehicle was impounded for 7 days, and driver’s license was suspended for 90 days.
