Town’s Economic Development Team’s Efforts Recognized

The Town of Caledon’s Economic Development team was recently recognized at the annual Economic Developers Council of Ontario (EDCO) Conference for their successful execution of the Downtown Bolton Revitalization Plan and leadership in the economic development field.

As a 2022 Awards of Excellence Finalist, the Downtown Bolton Revitalization Plan received Honourable Mention as an outstanding economic development project that can help establish best practices for future projects. Adopted by Council on March 30, 2021, the Downtown Bolton Revitalization Plan was implemented by the Town and a Task Force of committed residents, partners and stakeholders. The goal of the plan is to improve the historic downtown area for residents, business owners and visitors.

In addition, Jason Schildroth, Manager of Economic Development, took home the Young Professional Influencer Award for his integral role in the success of the Downtown Bolton Revitalization Plan and his dedication to community engagement, relationship building and problem solving.
