Ontario gas prices expected to go up 14 cents a litre Thursday

You might want to fill your tank up before the end of the day because beginning tomorrow it will cost you a lot more.

Gas price guru and Canadians for Affordable Energy president Dan McTeague says the switchover to summer gas will cost Ontario drivers an additional 14 cents per litre.

This increase will raise southern Ontario prices, from Windsor to Ottawa, to an average of 179.9 cents per litre for regular fuel from Wednesday’s 165.9 cents per litre. The increase will also raise premium prices to 209.9 cents per litre.

McTeague is also predicting prices will continue to rise as we head into the summer months. Prices haven’t been this expensive since 2022.
