Police investigating vandalism at provincial park

Officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are investigating after property was damaged at Forks of the Credit Provincial Park.

On Feb. 8 officers were called to the scene and found signs torn down with others covered with graffiti. Since December 2023, several instances of vandalism have been reported at the park, resulting in thousands of dollars of damage.

Provincial Police are taking the matter seriously and, in a release, say mischief is a Criminal Code offence and can be punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

If you have any information regarding this or other instances of vandalism, you can report them by contacting the OPP or Crimestoppers.
