Celebrating the Life of Caledon’s Caron Shepley

On Saturday, September 30th well-known Caledon resident Caron Shepley ended her five-year battle with cancer.

Caron doing aerial yogaCaron moved to Caledon to run Husky Injection’s Wellness Centre in the early 90s. She and her Olympic husband Barrie Shepley fell in love with the community and helped grow the C3 Canadian Cross Training Club in the area.

Caron has raced all over the world in Ironman and Marathon races. She developed an extensive Yoga program in the area and was a pioneer in both Stand up Paddle Board Yoga and Pup & Sup programs.

Carl and Barrie with their 2 dogsCaron’s biggest passion was animal welfare and has raised over $800 000.00 for animal related charities. Her husband Barrie and C3 want to help her get to her target of $1million over the next few years by continuing her passionate work.

Barrie and the family are inviting those who would like to share Caron’s life celebration on Sunday Oct 15th at the Royal Ambassador Hall in Caledon at 15430 Innis Lake Rd, Caledon East, ON L7C 2Z1

People are asked to dress casual. The event is to truly celebrate Caron’s many friends and groups and activities that made her life so complete. To allow them to plan for seats and post celebration snacks, we ask that you register so they know how many people are coming. DONATIONS TO CARON’S FOUNDATION

In lieu of any flowers, the family are creating a Caron Shepley Animal Foundation. 100% of all donations in her name, will be used to help programs that Caron cared about.

In addition, C3 and Personal Best (PB) will be working to create a yearly on going fund-raiser to make sure her good work continues.
