Officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating a fatal collision in Bolton.
On May 6, 2023, shortly after 2:00 a.m., Caledon OPP and emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle head-on collision at the intersection of Queen Street and King Street. Both drivers were transported to hospital. Sadly, a 21-year-old female from Bolton has since succumbed to her injuries.
Queen Street between Willow Street and Sterne Street was closed for several hours while the OPP Technical Collision Investigators and Reconstructionists assisted with the investigation. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage is asked to contact Caledon OPP at 905-584-2241 or 1-888-310-1122.
