Town of Caledon Hires a Chief of Staff for Mayor Groves

The Town of Caledon has announced that beginning Monday March 13th Nathan Grundy will be joining the Town as Chief of Staff to Mayor Groves.

The Town says Nathan will provide strategic advice and support relationships with external community groups and stakeholders to the Town of Caledon. He will work with various levels of government under the Mayor’s direction and be responsible for staffing in the Council office.

The press release states Nathan Grundy is an accomplished government and stakeholder relations leader, highly skilled in public policy and legislative affairs, with more than a decade of provincial and federal government experience.

In addition, effective this week, the Community Services Department will report to Catherine McLean, Director, Community Services.  The Community Services department will now include Customer Service, Communications, Economic Development (Tourism and Culture), Recreation (programs and services) and Facilities (corporate and community centres).

The Parks Division will report to Antonietta Minichillo, Director, Planning/Chief Planner. The Planning department will now include Strategic Policy Planning, Development Planning, Parks and Natural Heritage.

Speaking to the department realignments CAO Carey Herd said “I am confident in our team and believe these changes will enhance service delivery to residents and businesses across the Town of Caledon. Realigning these teams better positions the municipality to prepare for future growth.”
