Attention homeowners! Ready to replace your air conditioner? You may be eligible to take advantage of our new incentive program!
Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) is offering homeowners living in SNAP neighborhoods within the Region of Peel – a $2,000 incentive for the installation of a hybrid air source heat pump to operate with an existing furnace.
This incentive offers homeowners an upgrade to an energy efficient electric heat pump for approximately the price of a new air conditioning unit. Only 8 incentives are available. Application deadline is September 26, 2022.
This incentive is the product of the collaborative efforts of TRCA’s Sustainable Neighbourhood Action Program (SNAP) and Sustainable Technologies Evaluation Program (STEP).
About the Incentive Program
The air source heat pump is a relatively new technology for home heating and cooling that is becoming more and more popular.
Hybrid air source heat pumps work in conjunction with your furnace to heat and cool your home. They can help cut down your home’s carbon emissions and can protect you from the rising cost of natural gas.
