For those of us whom the roll of the dice has blessed with abundance, it’s hard to imagine people living in Caledon below the poverty line. Living a life where the simple act of walking into a store, able to buy a pair of shoes, brings tears of joy. The Santa Fund helps people in those very situations, and sometimes worse, all year long.
This woman survived the trauma of human trafficking and moved on, raising her family, thanks to support from CCS.
This elderly woman’s recovery from immobilizing strokes was assisted by CCS.
This woman was able to rediscover her independence through CCS transportation services.
Lastly I’d like to share the following message, transcribed verbatim from a voice mail left at CCS. The message is a response from a man to whom CCS had delivered a Christmas basket.
“Hi. A lady [from CCS] just called. I just had a food parcel delivered and it is quite abundant. I’m very, very pleased with that. But more so, there’s a gift card inside from Walmart for $50.00. That is unbelievable! You’re making me cry, but I’m going to buy a pair of shoes with that. So, thank you so much. God bless you people.”
