Collision on Hwy 50 Results in Impaired Driver Charges

Officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Caledon Detachment have charged the driver of a motor vehicle with several impaired driving related offences following a collision on Highway 50 in the Town of Caledon.

On Saturday, December 30, 2023, at approximately 3:55 a.m. officers were dispatched to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 50 south of Emil Kolb parkway. Upon arriving officers noticed signs of impairment from the driver of the vehicle and the driver was subsequently arrested for impaired driving.

A 26 year old from Brampton, has been charged with:

·      Drive while Impaired by Alcohol

·      Refuse to Comply with Demand for Breath Sampl

The accused is scheduled to appear in Orangeville Provincial Court in January 2024.
