2023 Match Our Meals Campaign Seeks Community Support for Caledon Meals on Wheels
Caledon Meals on Wheels (CMOW) is thrilled to announce the commencement of the 2023 Match Our Meals campaign, proudly launched in collaboration with Bolton Tim Horton’s.
This innovative initiative seeks to mobilize widespread community support, recognizing the pressing need to address food insecurity among seniors and vulnerable members in our area.
In an era where access to nutritious meals and support services is more critical than ever, CMOW continues to be a lifeline for many, not only delivering meals but fostering essential connections and care for those experiencing isolation or hardship.
The Match Our Meals campaign encourages individuals, businesses, and organizations to unite in supporting CMOW’s mission of providing nourishing meals to seniors and vulnerable community members. With a fundraising goal of $20,000, and with every dollar up to $7500 to be matched by Bolton Tim Horton’s, the campaign aims to fortify the agency’s essential services and sustain its impactful outreach.
Brad Stafford, owner of Bolton Tim Horton’s, emphasized the campaign’s core commitment, stating, “At the heart of the campaign is our dedication to making a tangible difference in the lives of those who rely on Caledon Meals on Wheels. This organization plays a pivotal role in ensuring that our local seniors not only have access to nutritious meals but also enjoy companionship and the support they need to thrive.”
Expressing gratitude to the Stratford Group, owners of Bolton Tim Horton’s and steadfast supporters since 2016, Kim Rodrigues, Executive Director of Caledon Meals on Wheels, highlighted the growing financial challenges faced by seniors in the community. “Seniors in our community deserve the opportunity to savour their twilight years without the weight of concerns about food insecurity or the pangs of isolation. We are looking for local heroes to ensure our
seniors and vulnerable community members’ matter. Donating to the Match Our Meals campaign this holiday season will mean double the impact.”
