You’ll find this special shop nestled on the outskirts of Bolton, on the Caledon King Townline, tucked away behind a stone and wrought iron fence.
Stepping over the threshold immerses you in a world of which even Kris Kringle and the elves would find themselves jealous.
It was in 2003 that Sisters of the Kosmas Aitolos Greek Orthodox Monastery had a vision of creating a special shop. A shop that would radiate the joy of the season. A shop that would allow them an opportunity to put their talents to work producing unique gifts, and fund efforts to give back to their community. The Nuns’ idea was realized in The Sisters Touch of Christmas.
The mood is set from the moment you turn into the lane way passing through the gates and greeted by a Nativity scene and decorative displays that include reindeer and sleigh, and a group of carollers by lamplight.
While just entering the shop will stir your Christmas spirit meandering to the back of the store will stir your appetite. Beautifully wrapped packages of homemade cookies, brownies, gingerbread and fruit cake beckon. Bottles of specialty olive oils, balsamic vinegar, artisan teas and tisanes, and pretty jars of honey would look lovely under any tree.
The shop is truly radiant with Christmas lights and décor, handmade gift items and exquisite ornaments, gorgeous seasonal tableware, candles, kitchen products, and of course, that amazing fresh baking.
The Sisters Touch of Christmas store is brimming with exclusive and thoughtful gifts you would be proud to give and probably some you just may want to keep. The shop is open Thursday to Sunday each week and closed from Monday to Wednesday so that the Sisters can replenish the shelves right up until December 24th.
