Headwaters Health Care Centre (HHCC) moved one step closer to its first ever Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine today, October 31st, thanks to a generous $500,000 pledge to Smart Headwaters from Caledon residents Steve & Sandra Hartman. Gifts and pledges to Smart Headwaters, including this recent commitment from the Hartman’s, bring the total raised thus far to $12 million!

Sandra Hartman shared the importance of their pledge stating, “My family has relied on the exceptional service provided at Headwaters Health Care Centre for many years. This donation is our thank-you for always being there in our time of need.” Steve Hartman went on to explain, “Sandra and I believe that our community deserves the best health care. Eventually, there comes a point in everyone’s life when they require diagnostic imaging; having access to a leading-edge MRI machine close to home, in our own community will change health care for so many of our friends, family and neighbors.”

K.C. Carruthers, Headwaters Health Care Foundation CEO explained, “Steve & Sandra have long been amazing supporters of this community and specifically supportive of the Headwaters Foundation. We know we can count on them, and they never let us down.” K.C. added, “Steve and Sandra have given the gift of improving care at Headwaters Hospital long into the future, which impacts everyone in the region we serve. No one touches lives in Dufferin-Caledon the way we do. We are deeply appreciative.”
