Officers from the Caledon OPP have laid charges against a tow truck operator.
Police say they started an investigation on April 26 after reports of a tow truck being driven dangerously. Investigators observed a video of a tow truck exiting the paved portion of the roadway in Brampton, mounting the sidewalk to bypass traffic and then proceeding through a red light.
A 27-year-old from Brampton was charged with stunt driving, careless driving and failing to stop for a red light.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Caledon at a later date to answer to the charges. The driver’s licence was also suspended for 30 days.
