A 64-year-old Stoney Creek male has been charged with an historic sexual assault.
The major crimes unit at Caledon OPP have charged the accused with sexual assault, sexual interference and invitation to sexual touching under 16 years of age.
Police started the investigation in November, 2022, after a victim reported a sexual assault from 2002.
At the time, the accused was a teacher in Caledon.
The accused was a teacher in Caledon, Brampton, and Mississauga until June of this year.

Police say there is no statute of limitations on sexual offences and a report can be made at any time, regardless of how much time has passed.
