Provincial police lay impaired charge

Officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police have charged a driver involved in a single motor vehicle collision with impaired driving.

On August 17, 2024, shortly after 11 p.m., police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on McLaren Road, near The Grange Side Road, in the Town of Caledon. No injuries were reported. During the investigation, officers formed grounds that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.

Police say a 34-year-old resident of Brampton is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on Sept. 5 to answer to the charges. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle impounded for seven.
