The Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police is investigating a shooting incident in the Town of Caledon.
Officers were called to a residence on Castlederg Sideroad shortly before midnight on August 11, where one person was located injured and rushed to hospital with an apparent gunshot wound.
Police say the cause of the incident cannot yet be confirmed, investigators believe there is no imminent threat to public safety. They are reminding all members of the public to be aware of their safety at all times.
The investigation is in its early stages and no further details can be released at this time. Residents of the area should expect to see a large police presence.
