You can now sign up to play in the 3rd annual Caledon Seniors Centre Charity Golf Tournament.
Called the John Rogers Memorial, it is being held at Glen Eagle Golf Course in Bolton on Monday, Sept. 9 and is open to golfers of any age. The tournament is a major fundraiser for the centre.
The entry fee is $150 per person or $575 for a foursome and includes lunch on the patio at noon followed by 18 holes of scramble golf with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. as well as a cart, prizes and much more.
The Caledon Seniors Centre is a place for adults 55+ to be social, meet new friends, stay active, learn new skills and have fun. All proceeds from the tournament as well as other generous donations from individuals and businesses in the community allow the centre to offer programs for seniors in the community.
The Caledon Seniors Centre will be celebrating its 30th year in 2025 and after a new expansion in 2022, the Centre now offers more recreation, games and activities.
New programs include line dancing, meditation, pool & darts as well as painting classes, Friday movies, cards and games. Exercise programs such as chair yoga, Tai Chi, Cardio Strength, Zumba and Nordic pole walking are geared to adults 55+ and are offered every weekday throughout the year.
