Here is your chance to get out and enjoy some fishing.
You can fish for free during Family Fishing Week in the province, which started over the long weekend and runs until Sunday, July 7.
A fishing license is not required but anglers are asked to follow fishing regulations and carry a permit/ID card issued by the provincial or federal government, which shows their name and date of birth.
Free fishing periods are also held on Mother’s Day and Father’s Day weekends.
The next free family fishing weekend is Feb. 17-19.
