Officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police have charged a driver involved in a collision.
On June 27, just before 5 p.m., police were called to a single motor-vehicle collision on Escarpment Sideroad. No injuries were sustained but police say they determined the driver was impaired by drugs and was placed under arrest.
A 35-year-old male from Etobicoke was charged with operation while impaired by drugs, possession of drugs and driving a vehicle with cannabis readily available.
The accused is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on July 22 to answer to the charges.
Police say they are committed to ensuring Ontario roads are safe from impaired drivers.
