UPDATE – Three people injured in three-vehicle collision

Officers from the Caledon detachment of the OPP are investigating a collision that took place in Caledon early Tuesday morning.

Officers were dispatched to a crash involving a tractor-trailer, cube van and a pickup truck at the intersection of Highway 10 and Old Base Line Road just before 9 a.m. When they arrived, police found one driver trapped in a vehicle while the other two sustained injuries from the collision.

Peel Regional Paramedic Services, Caledon Fire Services, and police were able to extricate the trapped occupant. All three were transported to local area hospitals with injuries ranging from minor to life-threatening. The latest report from police says the trio’s injuries were downgraded to non-life-threatening.

Highway 10 and Old Base Line Road were closed for several hours while an investigation was conducted while members of Caledon OPP conducted a thorough investigation.

Police are asking anyone with information or dash cam footage to contact them.

Highway 10 is closed between King Street and Charleston Sideroad, and Olde Base Line Road is closed between Kennedy Road and McLaughlin Road in Caledon following a collision at Highway 10 and Old Base Line Road involving a tractor-trailer, cube van and pickup truck.

No word from police on any injuries or potential charges or when roads in the area could reopen.
