A driver faces two charges after colliding with a Caledon OPP vehicle.
Police were called to a collision at the intersection of Old Church Road and Centreville Creek Road just before 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
Neither driver was injured but the investigation revealed the driver of the other vehicle entered an intersection when not safe to do so and caused a collision with the cruiser. Police say a breath sample revealed the driver was in the warning range for blood alcohol concentration.
A 28-year-old of Georgetown was charged with careless driving and was also issued a three-day licence suspension.
First-time penalties are an immediate three-day licence suspension and a $250 fine. A second infraction results in a seven-day licence suspension, a $350 fine and an education or treatment program. Third-time penalties require a 30-day licence suspension, a $450 fine, an education or treatment program and a six-month ignition interlock.
