Town looking for award nominees

The Town of Caledon is seeking nominations for the Civic Awards Program. It is an annual initiative recognizing residents who have significantly impacted the development and advancement of recreational sports, arts, culture, environmental leadership, or community and social services.

“This is the time of year for residents to come together and nominate someone they think deserves to be recognized for their efforts to better our community,” said Mayor Annette Groves in a release. “I encourage residents to submit nominations for those people who strive to constantly improve Caledon and make this such a great place to live.”

The awards cover two categories, including volunteer awards to recognize residents who have made significant impacts towards the development and advancement of recreational sports, arts and culture, environmental leadership, or community and social services. The second, citizen achievement awards, are designed to recognize residents who have competed or been recognized at the provincial, national, or international levels in the areas of sport and arts and culture.
The Community Recognition Task Force, comprised of five community volunteers with experience supporting initiatives in Caledon, will review and evaluate all nominees and recommend winners to council.

Civic Awards Program winners will be announced and celebrated on Caledon Day on Saturday, June 14, 2025.
