Four people face charges after a routine RIDE spot check turned up a stash of cannabis.
Just after 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 3, police were checking vehicles on the Valleywood Boulevard offramp from Highway 410 northbound. Caledon OPP said a vehicle entered the area and was met by the officers. A drug investigation was initiated, which led to the discovery of a large quantity of cannabis. The four occupants were subsequently arrested.
A 17-year-old from Brampton faces possession and distribution charges and four Highway Traffic Act charges related to being a novice driver.
Two Brampton men and a 20-year-old from Caledon were charged with possession of over 30 grams of dried cannabis and possession to distribute.
Police also seized a quantity of Canadian currency.
All four accused are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on Oct. 28 to answer to the charges.
