Caledon man charged after stolen property recovered

Members of the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police have recovered stolen motorcycles and charged a town resident.

On Aug. 13, the Caledon OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) entered into a stolen vehicle investigation, leading officers to a residence in Caledon. Later that same day, with the assistance of the Dufferin CSCU, a search warrant was executed. The motorcycles, motorcycle equipment, and a trailer were recovered.

A 40-year-old male has been charged with theft over $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on Sept. 26 to answer to the charges.
