Officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police laid a total of 884 charges over the Canada Day week.
Between June 21 and July 2, 265 speeding, 140 improper use of seat belts, 10 distracted driving, 9 stunt driving and 15 impaired driving charges were laid. Of those 15, seven were laid during the long weekend according to police.
Six of the seven accused are from Brampton, with the other allegedly impaired driver from Caledon, add police. Their ages range from 24 to 69.
All seven accused are scheduled to appear in an Orangeville court on July 18.
