Officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police have charged a driver involved in a collision.
On June 24, shortly after 8 a.m., police responded to a collision between a passenger vehicle and a commercial motor vehicle at the intersection of Airport Road and Charleston Sideroad. Minor injuries were sustained and during the investigation police say they formed grounds the driver of the passenger vehicle was impaired by alcohol and was arrested.
A 56-year-old from Nobleton was charged with impaired driving and driving a motor vehicle with liquor readily available.
The accused is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on July 11 to answer to the charges. The driver’s licence was also suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle impounded for seven days.
