The Town of Caledon Fire and Emergency Services department welcomed 11 new volunteer firefighters to the team at a graduation ceremony held yesterday evening (May 16th) at Station 302 in Bolton.
The new recruits have already been assigned to crews at eight of Caledon’s nine fire stations and will begin work immediately – on call and ready to respond to an emergency situation.
Fire Chief Dave Forfar said:
After completing the mandatory 250 hours of training and achieving their level 1 and level 2 National Fire Protection Association 1001 certification, we’re extremely proud to welcome our new volunteer firefighters to Caledon Fire and Emergency Services. These new recruits are not only joining our Caledon Fire team, they’re joining our family, and we look forward to working along side them as we continue to keep Caledon residents safe.
