Bridge Work Will Cause Bolton Detours for Months

Region of Peel Construction Notice:

Peel Region will be working in Bolton Wards 5 and 6 to complete:

  • The replacement of the bridge on King Street East, east of Humber Lea Road and
  • Maintenance work on the bridge on King Street East, east of Old King Road.

A full road closure will be required to replace the bridge on King Street East, just east of Humber Lea Road. As a result, King Street East will be closed to all through traffic, including pedestrians, from John Street to Humber Lea Road. This temporary road closure is expected to take place from May 15, 2023, until December 1, 2023, weather permitting. During this time, detours will be clearly marked with road signs.

The work will be completed by contractor Alliance Verdi Civil Inc. and supported by Ainley and Associates Limited (Ainley Group), both under contract to Peel Region. The contractor’s working hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. These hours are consistent with the local municipality’s bylaws. We understand this may cause some inconvenience, but shorter working days would require your area to be under construction for a longer period of time.

You can read the complete notice with further details on the Region’s website
