Caledon Elected Officials to Attend ROMA Conference

Caledon’s elected officials are attending the annual Rural Ontario Municipal Association (ROMA) Conference taking place from January 22nd to 24th at the Sheraton Centre Hotel in Toronto.

Caledon’s delegation will meet with provincial ministers and members of opposition parties to present issues and challenges and advocate for provincial support. Caledon delegates plan to meet with representatives from the Ministry of Transportation, Ministry of Infrastructure and the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing in particular.

In the past conversations with provincial representatives at ROMA have been pivotal to furthering the Town’s short- and long-term priorities and, have had a direct impact in the community.

Previous successes include increased safety measures on Highway 10 and the commitment to multiple new transportation options for Caledon, including the Caledon-Vaughan GO rail line as part of the Greater Golden Horseshoe Transportation Plan.
