Caledon Celebrates Bike Month With New Routes

Caledon is celebrating Bike Month this year by adding 50 km of newly signed cycling routes to our cycling map, increasing the cycling route network in Caledon from 40 km in 2018 to 250 km in 2022.

“The interest in cycling continues to grow in Caledon for people of all ages and we are working to develop our trail network, encourage cycling and support all forms of active transportation,” said Andrew Pearce, Director, Engineering Services. “We also look forward to the new north-south trail in the years to come from the recent Region of Peel land acquisition. We have beautiful trails in Caledon to enjoy that connect people to facilities, schools, parks, shopping and other key destinations. This season we hope to encourage residents to use and explore our cycling routes and trails.”

Many events are available to help support cycling as a fun recreational activity and sustainable form of travel.

Cycling resources can also be found at our libraries throughout June. The following webinars happening in June will highlight cycling to help raise awareness of cycling and safety.
