Today, May 24th, Just Sayin’ Caledon spoke with Jared Clarkson from Outset Media about their newly-launched board game Bolton-Opoly.
Jared says the board game “based on Monopoly the best-selling game of all time” is available this week. So be ready grab your friends and family and become the biggest real estate tycoon in the house…or cottage…or campsite! “The money is imaginary, but the competition is real.”
Canadian-owned and operated Outset Media has partnered with Walmart Canada to launch the limited-edition board game which draws attention to some of the great things that Bolton has to offer. Jared anticipates it will be available in store by end of this week and online at Walmart.ca in June.
Bolton-Opoly takes an original spin on the classic version of Monopoly, by making the locations for sale crucial aspects of the Bolton community. The locations included in Bolton-Opoly are Humber River Heritage Park, Glen Eagle Golf Club, Humberview Secondary School and other local schools, Cheeks, Casamici’s, Dick’s Dam Park, and many more.
“People have been spending more time at home, leading to board games experiencing substantial growth in popularity.” Jared explained. “Now is the time to bring the celebration to more cities across Canada, so even more people can join in on the fun!”
Jared also shared that Outset Media is approaching 200 community versions of the popular game. “Small towns really embrace the celebration of community” he adds.
