COVID-19 variants leaving Ontario in “precarious situation”

Ontario officials say a surge in cases of COVID-19 variants is placing the province in a precarious situation.

They say over 100 of 1880 test samples collected on January 21st were variants.

That brings the province’s tally to 152 cases of the COVID-19 UK variant and one case of the South African variant.
